Our overarching goal is to deeply characterize the experiences of women and children impacted by the syndemic, filling research gaps that would help us identify specific maternal and environmental factors and mechanisms that critically influence early child development and mental health.
Our team aims to strengthen the Reach Out and Read (ROR) network across the state by collaborating with ROR clinic-champions, identifying policy mechanisms to link early learning and pediatric care, and developing materials to present the evidence base for early literacy promotion.
These research findings will be used help develop an intervention to more clearly define, integrate and strengthen the role of home visiting agencies within the greater network of local supports for families experiencing IPV.
Our clinicians and researchers are performing cutting edge research on the most pressing health issues facing children, adolescents and families today. See more experts.
At PolicyLab, we seek to break out of the traditional academic research model to actively engage with community, advocacy, and policy partners and stakeholders on pressing issues faced by families locally, and across the state and country.
