U.S. Department of Agriculture Public Comment: Request for Information on Opportunities, Challenges, and Emerging Areas in Statistical Data, Analysis, and Research
Members of PolicyLab whose work focuses on food security and nutrition responded to a request for comment from the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Opportunities, Challenges, and Emerging Areas in Statistical Data, Analysis, and Research.
In their response, contributing PolicyLab experts uplifted the unique role of the Economic Research Service (ERS) and its data products, such as the Household Food Security Survey. They recommend that the USDA continue and strengthen the CPS Food Security Supplement to the Current Population Survey in alignment with its mission to provide accurate, timely, and relevant economic and statistical information.
