Daria Murosko MD, MPH, MSHP
Daria Murosko (she/her) is faculty member at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and an attending neonatologist. Dr. Murosko is interested in understanding and eliminating perinatal health inequities, with a focus on community-level factors, such as segregation and gentrification, that drive racial and ethnic differences in outcomes. Dr. Murosko believes that stable, affordable housing is essential for health during pregnancy and early life. Her current research examines how housing insecurity, across a continuum from affordability challenges to residential instability and homelessness, shapes perinatal outcomes. Dr. Murosko aims to leverage local and institutional policy to promote healthy communities for pregnant people and newborn infants. She is also passionate about educating health care professionals about the impact of structural racism and implicit biases on infant health.
Dr. Murosko received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Maryland. She received her medical degree and Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She then completed residency in pediatrics through the Urban Health and Advocacy Track of the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, and served as chief pediatric resident at Boston Medical Center. She returned to Philadelphia to complete her fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at CHOP. In 2025, she received her Master's degree in Health Policy Research from Penn.
