Avital Ludomirsky MD, MPP, MHS
Avital Ludomirsky is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and a fellow physician in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at CHOP. She is planning to pursue a career that combines health policy creation and clinical practice.
Dr. Ludomirsky hopes to improve access to care and quality of care through delivery system reforms. Her research interests include creating and examining interventions to improve access to congenital cardiac care for underserved populations, analyzing health care delivery models and their impact on vulnerable populations, and using value based health care to create delivery system reforms.
Dr. Ludomirsky completed her pediatrics residency and pediatric chief residency at the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree and Master in Public Policy from Princeton University School of Public and International Affairs, a Master in Health Science from Yale University, and her Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ludomirsky’s early research includes work in identifying household material hardship and financial hardship in patients with congenital heart disease, physician participation in Medicaid managed care networks and physician provider practices before and after Food and Drug Administration approval of medications.
