Meredith Matone named Deputy Director of PolicyLab
We are delighted to announce that beginning this week Meredith Matone, MHS will serve as Deputy Director of PolicyLab. As Deputy Director, Meredith will work closely with Dr. David Rubin, MD, MSCE in leading and managing all aspects of PolicyLab while continuing her own research on child and adolescent health.
Meredith has been with PolicyLab since 2010. In her time here, she has served as:
- Project director for a national epidemiologic study of psychotropic medication prescribing to publicly insured youth,
- Co-principal investigator for a statewide evaluation of maternal-child home visiting program effectiveness in Pennsylvania, and
- Principal investigator in an ongoing health needs assessment of adolescent mothers with child welfare involvement in Philadelphia.
Meredith’s strengths in policy, advocacy, and research have enabled PolicyLab to make important contributions in all three areas while engaging and collaborating with key children’s stakeholders at the local, state, and national level. We are delighted that Meredith will now take on a new leadership role that will continue to drive PolicyLab in its mission to achieve optimal child health and well-being by informing program and policy changes through interdisciplinary research.
