Xi Wang PhD
Xi (“she”) Wang is a research scientist at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Wang’s research interests include evidence-based interventions and programs for improving maternal and child health as well as family well-being. She is experienced in the use of observational data and quasi-experimental study designs in the areas of maternal and child health.
Her previous work includes a statewide study on the real-world effectiveness of a clinical intervention for recurrent preterm birth prevention and a nationwide study on the use of electronic cigarettes during pregnancy and early postpartum period. Dr. Wang currently serves as the principal investigator and co-investigator on several studies with overall aims to reduce misuse of opioid prescriptions and to improve equitable access to medications for opioid use disorder among pregnant and postpartum people.
Dr. Wang received her Doctor of Philosophy, specializing in epidemiology, from Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health.
