Priyanka Joshi MD, MSHP
Priyanka Joshi (she/her) is a faculty member at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and an attending physician in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at CHOP. She is also an associate fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and an Instructor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Joshi conducts policy-focused health services research aimed at improving health outcomes and care utilization for underserved urban youth and families. Her past work examined produce access and benefit use among WIC-eligible populations, and her current research focuses on enhancing care transitions for youth in mental health crisis and improving the accuracy of race and ethnicity data in pediatric hospital records.
Dr. Joshi received her undergraduate degree in Spanish from The Ohio State University. She subsequently served as a Teach for America Corps member in Washington, D.C. She received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her residency in Pediatrics and her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at CHOP. She also received her Master’s in Health Policy Research (MSHP) at the University of Pennsylvania supported by a Critical Care Health Policy T32.
