Morgan Hammershaimb MPH
Morgan Hammershaimb is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab and Clinical Futures at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is currently working on a study investigating the safety of rotavirus immunization in the NICU with Dr. Susan Coffin.
Prior to joining CHOP, Ms. Hammershaimb worked in the communications field and spent several years as a news reporter in Philadelphia. As a journalist, she extensively covered issues including gun violence, poverty, youth homelessness and the opioid epidemic, all of which led her to pursue a career in public health. She also previously conducted research on the relationship between social determinants of health—including socioeconomic status and food access—and treatment decisions for patients with Crohn's disease.
Ms. Hammershaimb earned her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at Temple University and holds a graduate certificate in forensic criminology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She was born and raised in Philadelphia.
