Jingya Yu MS

Research Statistician

Jingya Yu (she/her) is a research statistician at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In this role, she applies a range of fundamental statistical techniques in support of scientific research studies. She also participates in the planning and interpretation of research process and results, consults with other investigators, determines statistical analysis strategies, and performs sophisticated data analysis.

Previously, Jingya served as a graduate assistant, focusing on population-based studies, particularly cancer risk-related behaviors. Additionally, she has worked on various qualitative and quantitative demographic analyses to identify key populations for health outreach programs. She also contributed to studies on health data and statistics through internships in biostatistics and clinical pharmacology, where she optimized workflows, designed dashboards, and integrated advanced statistical methods to improve analysis accuracy and efficiency.

Jingya holds a master’s degree in biostatistics and is passionate about the development and application of statistical methods to public health challenges. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated expertise in research, statistical programming, and the communication of complex data insights to a wide audience, including clinicians, scientists, and policymakers.
