Hadassah Ladson Colbert
Hadassah Ladson Colbert (she/her) is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab and Clinical Futures at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is currently working with Dr. Emily Gregory on research addressing modifiable risk factors for women with a history of preterm birth through care coordination and motivational interviewing.
Before transitioning to CHOP, Hadassah was a home visitor at Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) for two years. During her time as a home Visitor, Hadassah not only received invaluable ground experience, but also gained a wealth of knowledge and was able to receive her doula certification. Ms. Colbert also serves as a member of MCC’s Community Advocacy Committee.
Hadassah received a Bachelor of Art degree from Saint Joseph’s University in 2020 where she majored in political science and international relations with a concentration in Black Latin studies. While completing her degree, Hadassah served as an executive board member on the Black Student Union, University Women’s Center as well as an editor on the Hawk newspaper with the goal of using her platform to bring awareness to the issues that plague women of color globally.
Hadassah is passionate about increasing positive outcomes for birthing people globally, reproductive health and remedying racial disparities. She plans to become a certified nurse midwife.
