Brian Vazquez (he/him) is a clinical research coordinator and child care navigator at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He supports clinical research activities within the scope of the Community Clinical Systems Integration (CCSI) – Early Childhood Education Supports strategy, which aims to create an integrated cross-sector early childhood support system for families that includes evidence-based home visiting services, pediatric primary care, and quality child care to improve the health, well-being, and service delivery for families with young children in Philadelphia.

Mr. Vazquez also supports multiple additional projects across PolicyLab. In his role, he provides early childhood education navigation for families and supports with comprehensive multilingual qualitative research and project evaluation design and implementation.

Mr. Vazquez’s research interests include health equity, early childhood education, social needs screening, cross-cultural and multilingual research, and community-engaged research. A Kensington native and CHOP-certified bilingual staff member, he is committed to strengthening equitable systems and practices for families who live in high-need communities and who speak a language other than English. Mr. Vazquez’s professional experience spans education, research and writing, and the translation and interpretation field. He has also served as a co-instructor at Bethlehem University in the West Bank and as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor to culturally and linguistically diverse adult learners at a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia.

Mr. Vazquez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Religion from La Salle University and a Master of Arts in Social Sciences with an Education and Society Certificate from The University of Chicago.
