Yuan He MD, MPH
Yuan He (she/her) is a faculty scholar at PolicyLab, an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) at the Karabots Pediatric Care Center in West Philadelphia, and the child health policy advisor with the Division of Maternal, Child, and Family Health at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. She also leads community-facing initiatives for CHOP's Center for Health Equity.
Dr. He's academic and policy interests include improving care for children and families impacted by addiction and child welfare involvement, neighborhood- and community-based interventions to reduce racial disproportionality in the child welfare system, and leveraging community engagement and cross-sector collaboration to advance health equity.
Dr. He received her undergraduate degree at Yale University, then worked with a medical nonprofit in rural Honduras for a year before attending the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, where she received her medical and public health degrees. She completed pediatric residency training in the Urban Health and Advocacy Track of the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center, where she also served as a chief resident. She then went on to complete the National Clinician Scholars Program (formerly Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars) at the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her Master's in Health Policy Research.
