PolicyLab research complements recent report brief from the Institute of Medicine
Research from PolicyLab’s Nadia Dowshen has found that children, adolescents, and young adults who are homeless, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT), and victims of past physical or sexual abuse are at higher risk for becoming victims of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. This research complements a recent report brief from the Institute of Medicine, Confronting Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Sex Trafficking of Minors in the United States.
