Jordan Wood MPH
Jordan Wood (she/her) is a Clinical Research Program Manager at PolicyLab and Clinical Futures at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She manages population health research studies investigating medication clinical effectiveness, implementation strategies to advance guideline-concordant care, and community health workers to improve access to social needs support and trust in the healthcare system. Ms. Wood co-leads the CHOP Health Equity Research Methods (HERMes) Initiative, which supports investigators in applying health equity in research best practices and provides infrastructure that facilitates inclusive and representative studies, rigorous approaches to analyzing disparities and complex social epidemiologic questions, and family and community engagement across the research lifecycle.
Ms. Wood’s health services research portfolio includes analyzing health insurance policies and impact on care access and evaluating economic interventions, such as child tax credits, that may promote health. Her current work focuses on associations between prenatal exposure to cash transfers and safety net benefits on birth outcomes.
Ms. Wood received her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health.
