Jamie Catalano PhD, ScM
Jamie Catalano (she/her) is a lead data analyst at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Clinical Futures and within the Department of General Pediatrics at CHOP. Dr. Catalano works with Dr. Barbara Chaiyachati on a mixed-methods research portfolio interested in 1) understanding the impact of traumatic stressful events and genetic stress sensitivity on mental and physical health in adolescence, and 2) the impact of childhood trauma on epigenetic aging.
Throughout graduate school, Dr. Catalano developed expertise in neurogenetics research, focused on understanding psychopathology (e.g. internalizing, externalizing), contextual factors (e.g. family history), and genetic predictors associated with opioid overdose.
Dr. Catalano received her PhD in molecular pharmacology and physiology and her ScM in innovation management and entrepreneurship from Brown University. She received her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Niagara University.
