Daniela Brissett MD
Daniela Brissett is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a pediatric adolescent fellow at CHOP and an associate fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Brissett’s research studies the intersectionality of racism and sexism, specifically the adultification of Black girls and its impact on medical and mental health outcomes. This directly aligns with her current and previous work in positive youth development spanning topics in reproductive justice, substance use, and community partnership.
Dr. Brissett received her undergraduate degree in molecular and cell biology at the University of California, Berkeley. She received her medical degree from University of California, Berkeley. She completed residency in pediatrics through the Pediatric Leadership for the Underserved (PLUS) Residency Program at the University of California, San Francisco Pediatric Residency Program.
