Daniel Zheng MD, MHS

Daniel Zheng is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a pediatric hematology-oncology fellow at CHOP, and a postdoctoral research fellow within the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Health Policy Research. He is also an associate fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and a research fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training program managed by the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness at CHOP. Dr. Zheng is interested in examining how poverty-related disparities develop across the pediatric cancer care continuum and specifically on how these disparities impact chronic health burden and other outcomes in long-term cancer survivors.

Dr. Zheng studied psychology and subsequently obtained his medical degree and a Master in Health Sciences at Yale University. He previously worked at a respite care facility for the homeless in Washington D.C. through Americorps. Prior to fellowship, he completed his pediatrics residency through the Urban Health and Advocacy Track of the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, where he also served as chief resident.
