Christine Cummings MD
Christine Cummings (she/her) is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She currently is a pediatric emergency medicine fellow at CHOP, and she completed residency and chief residency at CHOP.
Dr. Cummings is passionate about prehospital care, trauma and injury prevention with a focus on health equity. During fellowship, she plans to implement evidence-based injury prevention in community and school-based settings.
Dr. Cummings’ prior work focused on the interaction between the care team and caregivers during family-centered rounds. Dr. Cummings received her bachelor’s degree in biology and nutrition from Cornell University and her medical degree from Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Prior to medical school, she served as a sixth grade teacher in Atlanta, Ga. through Teach for America.
