Emma Gerstenzang MD
Emma Gerstenzang (she/they) is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and a pediatric hospital medicine fellow at CHOP.
Dr. Gerstenzang is interested in improving systems of health care for children with medical complexity, with a specific focus on transitions of care between acute care, long term care, and outpatient setting, and associated health and neurodevelopmental outcomes. They are particularly interested in racial and socioeconomic disparities in experiences and outcomes related to transitions of care and barriers to successful care transitions and preventive care access among medically complex children.
Dr. Gerstenzang received a BA in Religious Studies from Cornell University, their medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as part of the Columbia-Bassett program, and completed their residency and a chief resident year at CHOP.
