PolicyLab Releases New Video on COVID-19 & Children’s Health Coverage
Even prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and related financial crisis, the U.S. was seeing a troubling increase in uninsurance and underinsurance among our nation’s youth. In a new video released today, we outline the current children’s health coverage landscape in the context of the pandemic, highlight opportunities ahead, and discuss why comprehensive coverage is one of PolicyLab’s four pillars to a policy platform that meaningfully prioritizes children's health. Be sure to watch the full video below.
As we look ahead to a post-pandemic world, we hope to work together to identify solutions that ensure comprehensive, affordable health coverage for all children. In a new authors’ note recently added to PolicyLab’s Spring 2020 Evidence to Action brief titled, “Universal Health Coverage for Children: Current Barriers and New Paths Forward,” our experts explain why the policy options laid out in the brief are still relevant, and even more critical today given the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Read the authors’ note and explore our complementary policy brief which offers a quick, printable guide to our menu of policy solutions.
