Trends in Antipsychotic Use Among Youth in Foster Care Raise Concerns
PolicyLab analyzed data from Pennsylvania’s Medicaid program with a focus on foster children and found that between 2002 and 2007, there were 354,000 Medicaid-enrolled children ages 3-18 using antipsychotics-an increase of 62 percent.
