Maitry Sonagra MPH
Maitry Sonagra is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab, Clinical Futures and the Center for Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS) within the Division of Rheumatology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Maitry works with Dr. Sabrina Gmuca and Dr. David D. Sherry on AMPS research aimed at improving an understanding of the causative factors and its importance behind the development of this chronic non-inflammatory musculoskeletal pain syndromes. This research is also aimed to advance multidisciplinary, non-pharmacologic treatment strategies to positively impact the lives of youth with chronic pain.
Maitry received her Master of Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology from Drexel University in 2018. Prior to joining CHOP, she interned at Rang Technologies to gain experience in clinical data standardization using Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) standards on oncology clinical trial data. She later joined the Prairie Education and Research Cooperative at St. John’s Hospital as a research data analyst to provide statistical support for cardiovascular research focusing on improving long-term outcomes in ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) patients. Prior to pursuing her master’s degree, she completed her bachelor’s in dental surgery in 2014 in India.
