Abril Coselino
Abril Coselino (she/her) is a clinical research assistant at the Literacy Lab within PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Abril works within the Literacy Lab team to promote early literacy and learning through parent-child interactions. She first joined the Literacy Lab as a Summer Undergraduate Mentored Research scholar at the University of Pennsylvania in 2024, where she worked on a social media content analysis of parenting content creators to inform the development of family-centered messages disseminated by pediatric primary care providers. Her current work involves projects related to the promotion of early literacy through both parent-child and caregiver-provider interactions.
Abril graduated from Keystone College in May 2025 with dual majors in Biology and Psychology. She is interested in how social, political, and environmental factors can influence early development and long-term outcomes. She is particularly passionate about community-engaged research that informs the development of interventions aimed at reducing disparities and improving outcomes for underserved populations. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Social Psychology with a focus on Public Policy.
