Doris Valenzuela-Araujo MD
Doris Valenzuela-Araujo is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a pediatric gastroenterology fellow at CHOP, a research fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training (PHEOT) Program, and is completing a Master in Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Valenzuela has focused her research career in improving healthcare access and quality for families who speak languages other than English. She has participated in creating multiple research studies to improve quality of care for Spanish-speaking immigrant families and enjoys partnering with families in research development. As a gastroenterologist, she is focused on improving access to specialty care and improving outcomes for children with GI and liver diseases.
Dr. Valenzuela completed her undergraduate studies at the Johns Hopkins University where she studied Neuroscience. She completed medical school and residency training at the Oregon Health & Science University.
