Riley Sun MS
Yuntong (Riley) Sun (she/her) is a research statistician at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she plays a pivotal role in supporting pediatric research. In her position, Riley provides comprehensive statistical expertise to clinical investigators, aiding in grant writing, manuscript development and study design. Her work ensures that research teams can make informed, data-driven decisions that advance clinical studies.
Riley holds a master’s degree in biostatistics and bioinformatics from Duke University School of Medicine. During her time at Duke, she gained extensive experience through a biostatistics internship, where she collaborated with clinical investigators on various research projects. These projects spanned a wide range of complex statistical analyses, including survival analysis, DNA methylation analysis and latent-class analysis.
Riley’s expertise extends to working with electronic health records (EHR) data as well as genetic and genomic data, and she is well-versed in applying advanced statistical techniques to these complex datasets. Her research contributions have led to multiple co-authored publications across diverse fields such as schizophrenia, pain management, and microbial diversity, demonstrating her commitment to improving health outcomes through rigorous statistical analysis.
