Melina Bocanegra (she/her) is a clinical research coordinator at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Melina works with Dr. Danielle Erkoboni and her to team to further continue research on early literacy and learning. She previously worked with Dr. Erkoboni's Literacy Lab as a MPH capstone student on a quality evaluation assessment on their Reach Out and Read (ROR) medical offices to improve model fidelity and promote early literacy among pediatric primary care.

Melina graduated from West Chester University in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in public health and later went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania in December 2023 with a Master in Public Health. Melina’s prior internships with Chester County Health Departments Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program and Children First PA has furthered her passion in the maternal child health space.
