James (Jimmy) Wester (he/him) is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a general surgery resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, a pediatric surgery research fellow at CHOP, and a fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program.

His research interests include the continuum of care and post-operative outcomes in patients with esophageal atresia with or without tracheoesophageal fistula, with a particular interest in neurodevelopmental outcomes.

Dr. Wester grew up in Gaborone, Botswana and Franklin, Tennessee. He attended Northwestern University for his undergraduate and medical school studies. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Health Policy Research.
