From the Director

This has been a year full of challenges. At PolicyLab, we were grateful to be able to contribute to efforts that supported our communities during this time, conducting research and implementing programs to address families’ pandemic-related needs and providing policy guidance to leaders across the country. Despite the circumstances, our research, policy and communications teams came together to support one another in making real progress towards our mission—some examples of which are reflected in this inaugural Impact Report, which covers the timeframe of April 1, 2020-March 31, 2021.

None of this would be possible without our Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) colleagues, local partners, funders and community—your collaboration is the key to putting evidence into action. As we look ahead to a post-pandemic world, we are eager to work together with you to get research into the hands of decision-makers and build a healthier future for all children.
