Yuan He MD, MPH

Yuan He is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab, an attending physician in the Division of General Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Karabots Pediatric Care Center, and a postdoctoral research fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Health Policy Research. She is also an associate fellow of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. He's areas of interest include racial disproportionality in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, and she is particularly interested in how different sectors and systems can work together to advance health equity and better support marginalized youth.

Dr. He received her undergraduate degree at Yale University, then spent a year in rural Honduras working with a medical non-profit organization, Shoulder to Shoulder. She received her MD and MPH from the University of Arizona, during which she worked as a policy intern at the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. She then completed pediatric residency training in the Urban Health and Advocacy Track of the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center, where she also served as a chief resident.
