William Quarshie MS, MS


William Quarshie is a member of the Healthcare Analytics Unit (HAU) at PolicyLab and The Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He is currently working on the PA MIECHV evaluation project, where we are using different data sources such as the PA Birth certificates, PA Medicaid, databases, and data from the following Home Visitation programs, Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), Early Head Start (EHS), Parents As Teachers (PAT), and Healthy Families America (HFA). His research interests are (i)Statistical methodology applicable to epidemiological studies and Health Disparities (ii) Application of Statistics to Cancer Research (iii) Survival data analysis (iv). Other interests, includes statistical modeling and public health genetics to determine how these programs are influencing several maternal and child outcomes.

Mr. Quarshie previously worked on several projects on cancer survival , cancer treatment effects, and health disparities using the National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Result (SEER) Program database and the local Metropolitan Detroit Cancer Surveillance Systems (MDCSS) database. He has an MS (Biostatistics) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and an MS (Mathematics) from Howard University in Washington DC.
