Tiffany Tieu

Clinical Research Assistant

Tiffany Tieu (she/her) is a clinical research assistant at PolicyLab and the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She works with Dr. Wanjiku Njoroge on the Prenatal to Preschool (P2P) study, which examines early child development and maternal mental health. This longitudinal study investigates the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mothers and their children, with a focus on syndemic effects on Black families. 

Ms. Tieu graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with her bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors. She also worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Adolescent Depression Prevention and Treatment (ADePT) Lab with Dr. Jami Young at CHOP.

Her research interests include the mental health of minority and immigrant populations, along with the role of cultural factors in development, parenting behaviors and parent-child relationships. In the future, she plans to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology.
