Stephen Bonett PhD, RN
Stephen Bonett is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, and an associate fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. His research is focused on identifying structural barriers to HIV and STI prevention and leveraging the power of institutions, community groups, and social networks to promote community health and advocate for systemic change towards health equity. As a nurse clinician scientist, he aims to connect people to health and social resources through clinical-community partnerships. Dr. Bonett also works as a Research RN at the HIV/AIDS Prevention Research Division, where he has been involved in a variety of clinical trials, including several COVID-19 vaccine studies.
Dr. Bonett received his PhD in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020, where he was a Hillman Scholar in Nursing Innovation, a Jonas Nursing Scholar, and a Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) fellow. He received his MA in Statistics from the University of Pennsylvania, his BSN from the University of Pennsylvania, and his BS/BA in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Iowa.
