Shawna Dandridge LCSW
Shawna Dandridge is the behavioral health strategy manager for PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Ms. Dandridge is responsible for managing the behavioral health portfolio by identifying and launching opportunities that drive the strategic growth of the portfolio. This includes the identification of policy and strategy priorities, building strategic relationships and leveraging existing expertise.
Prior to joining PolicyLab, Ms. Dandridge worked at the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Community Behavioral Health (CBH) managing operations for the Evidence-based Practice and Innovation Center (EPIC) and later serving in a strategic support and advisory role to CBH’s Chief Medical Officer. During her time with EPIC, she led numerous projects aimed at successfully integrating evidence-based practices into the behavioral health service system. This work created mechanisms by which to monitor, track and incentivize EBPs within the Medicaid regulatory context. Prior to her work with the city, Ms. Dandridge worked at the Treatment Research Institute (TRI), a local research and development organization dedicated to the reform of treatment and policy in substance use. She spent her time at TRI focused on the role of addiction in the family, and consulted on a number of addiction-related projects both locally and nationally. Ms. Dandridge has also worked extensively within the public sector of Philadelphia providing direct clinical care.
She is passionate about bridging research, community practice and public policy to ensure that children and families have access to the best available services. Ms. Dandridge received her Master of Social Work from West Chester University.
