Oluwatimilehin Okunowo MPH

Research Statistician

Oluwatimilehin (Timmy) Okunowo is a research statistician in the Healthcare Analytics Unit at PolicyLab and the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). His research interests are centered on reducing the burden of disease, including assessing health outcomes of patients with chronic conditions and measuring the economic impact of health interventions. As a certified base programmer, he has strong data manipulation and statistical modelling skills using SAS. Mr. Okunowo also has experience with large observational and real-world data sources including National Health Interview Survey, Truven Health MarketScan and Veteran’s Health Administration databases.

Previously, Mr. Okunowo worked as a statistical analyst and consultant in the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and pharmaceutical industry. Currently, he is working on a project led by Dr. Allison Curry on developing the New Jersey Safety and Health Outcomes (NJ-SHO) Data Warehouse. He is also collaborating with other principal investigators at CHOP on studies in areas of research including opioids use, cardiovascular and renal diseases. Mr. Okunowo received his Master of Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
