Olivia Quartey is a clinical research assistant at PolicyLab and Clinical Futures at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Ms. Quartey works with Dr. James Guevara’s team to test the effects of a novel social media-based parenting program for women with postpartum depression. 

Ms. Quartey graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology of health from Temple University. Prior to working at PolicyLab, she was involved in health disparities research, worked with community members on COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and defended a interdisciplinary honors thesis recognizing the barriers underrepresented minority students face in attending medical school. Her future plans include pursuing a career in medicine while being a patient advocate and promoting health equity.
