Katya Nekrasova MPH
Katya Nekrasova is a research program manager at PolicyLab and the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She works with Dr. Alexander Fiks and Dr. Brian Jenssen to support a portfolio of research and innovation projects in primary care settings locally and nationally. Her current work is focused on improving pediatric decision making and child health outcomes and using clinical decision support systems and population health management techniques to protect children from secondhand smoke exposure and help families quit smoking. Katya is passionate about practice-based research and developing and implementing projects that improve public health and reduce disparities.
Katya earned her Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy at Drexel University. During her graduate program, Katya worked with the ASERT Collaborative and the Philadelphia Autism Project at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute to support families with autism and evaluate the autism needs of Russian and Ukrainian speaking families with autism in Philadelphia. Prior to joining the master’s program, Katya completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at North Carolina Central University and worked as a financial advisor in Philadelphia.
