Evelyn Stevens MPH
Evelyn Stevens is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Ms. Stevens is working with Dr. David Rubin on the COMETS study, a randomized controlled trial comparing the effectiveness of two self-management support interventions (a community health worker and a mobile health app) versus enhanced usual care to improve health-related quality of life and acute care use for transitioning young adults with SCD.
Prior to joining PolicyLab, Ms. Stevens worked as a research coordinator for three years in the Section on Behavioral Oncology at CHOP primarily coordinating projects evaluating health-related quality of life of adolescents and young adults with cancer; and strategies to improve informed decisions of participation in clinical trials among patients with cancer, patients with sickle cell disease and caregivers. Ms. Stevens worked as a research coordinator at Abramson Cancer Center, Penn Medicine for two years on a project evaluating the feasibility of using telemedicine to deliver genetic counseling services to populations with limited or no access to care.
Ms. Stevens received her Master of Public Health degree from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts in BioPyschosocial Health from The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
