Evan Dalton MD
Evan Dalton is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a pediatric hospital medicine fellow at CHOP, and a fellow in the Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training program managed by Clinical Futures at CHOP. He is also currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Health Policy Research program at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Healthcare Quality and Safety through the Center for Healthcare Improvement & Patient Safety.
Dr. Dalton is interested in improving the safety and quality of care of hospitalizations for children with behavioral health conditions. His current work is focused on better understanding the outcomes of these hospitalizations, as well as their function within the system of pediatric behavioral health care. He is also studying staff perception of physical restraint use at children’s hospitals and plans to integrate this work with his ongoing quality improvement efforts aimed at reducing the use of physical restraints on children with behavioral health conditions.
Dr. Dalton graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Economics. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency training in General Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
