Emmy Stup MPA
Emmy Stup is the Health Equity Strategy Director at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and is a member of PolicyLab’s leadership and strategy teams. Ms. Stup is responsible for supporting the strategic growth of PolicyLab’s four portfolios through collaboration across each portfolio, fostering relationships with community partners and raising the visibility of the center's work. Ms. Stup serves as a liaison between PolicyLab and CHOP faculty and leadership for a variety of cross-cutting initiatives.
Prior to joining PolicyLab, Ms. Stup spent over a decade in non-profit leadership, sexual health promotion and teen pregnancy prevention direct service work. Most recently, she served as the director of sexual and reproductive health services at Public Health Management Corporation in Philadelphia where she led a multi-million dollar portfolio of federal, state and foundation funded projects, including multiple randomized controlled trials. Ms. Stup led a multi-disciplinary team that worked to achieve optimal sexual and reproductive health outcomes for youth. She has given numerous presentations on innovative approaches to teen pregnancy and STI prevention, as well as the importance of intergenerational support to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes for youth. Recently, Ms. Stup oversaw the creation of a teen pregnancy prevention intervention that leveraged theatrical performances to meet the specific educational and developmental needs of youth classified with mild-to-moderate intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder. Ms. Stup earned her MPA from Rutgers University.
