Emma Blackson MS
Emma Blackson is a clinical research assistant at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Ms. Blackson is working with Dr. Marsha Gerdes on research studies related to equity, empathy and positive behavior supports for children in child care centers across Philadelphia.
Ms. Blackson received a bachelor's degree in public health from Temple University. As a student, she worked on two independent research projects where she helped to develop anti-racist medical education curriculum and created original learning materials to assist with reducing bias in medical education. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently working towards a Master of Public Health from the university. Her professional passion focus is on engaging and empowering marginalized communities through education, program implementation and evaluation, and policy.
