Allison Mak is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a scholar in the National Clinician Scholars Program at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a surgeon trainee at Louisiana State University, with an interest in pediatric surgery. Dr. Mak’s research revolves around characterizing pediatric trauma and the multifaceted approach necessary for its prevention and treatment, with a focus on gun violence, injuries and their care in urban versus rural settings.
