Devon Kratchman is a clinical research coordinator working with Dr. Joanne Wood at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) and PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Devon primarily works on a research study, titled PriCARE, which implements and examines the effectiveness of a parenting intervention aimed to improve children’s behavioral concerns, while reinforcing positive relationships. She also works on other research studies investigating various aspects of child maltreatment and abuse in relation to health care and policy.
Devon received her BS in neuroscience from Muhlenberg College and previously worked on an inpatient brain injury unit, specifically on research studies involving patients with traumatic brain injuries and their long-term recovery outcomes. Devon is interested in improving behavioral and psychological outcomes for children, while also aiding in the education of parents and other community members on effective interventions.
